I
have come to the conclusion that Americans are suffering so badly in
the gut that they are delusional! Yes I said that and don't call the
office or write because, well just because.
I spend a lot of time daily talking to people about their intestines.
How often they have a bowel, how much gas they have, how much belching,
the color of bowels, difficulty of passing. Have they ever had food
poisoning? Did you ever have an intestinal flu that just didn't seem to
go away? Do you have weird stomach pains? How's your mood? Are
you suffering from being more depressed than you think you should be?
How's your energy level? Are you able to do all the things you want to
do? Yes, these are all questions I'm going to ask because your gut is
one of the most important areas of the body to me.

When
you are passing regular bowels and getting your food absorbed properly
you don't have to worry about any of the things I mentioned above! As a
matter of fact you end up being able to live life to the fullest and by
that I mean on your terms not on the terms of being near a bathroom. If
you are one of those people who have to actually map out where the
bathroom is before you go anywhere you know what I'm talking about.
As far as science goes the gut is actually the second brain. So…… when
your gut is unhappy I guess you could say that your brain is unhappy as
well. Did you know that more than 85% of the Serotonin (feel good
hormone) is made in the gut? Well it is. Now hear me loud and clear I'm
NOT saying that depression isn't real and I'm not saying that fixing
your gut will make ALL of it go away but it will sure give you a handle
on most of it.

Did
you know that something as simple as taking a good quality probiotic
can go a long way to giving you some awesome health? (not from a big
box store or the corner drug store, or ordering from that place on line
starting with an A) Well it can and I really think you should look into
it. We are victimized by so many unwanted microbes that it's just the
right thing to do, so just do it!
Which brings me to my next very important statement. WASH YOUR HANDS!!!
I'm not talking about rinse and go, I'm talking about with soap and
water! Just think, washing your hands can keep those intestines in
better shape and healthier. Who would have thought! So the next time
you want to do something great for yourself and you don't want to put a
whole lot of energy into it just remember a probiotic and wash your
hands.

The Monthly "Vita - Mini"

B4......(after)
Hey,
who knows, without googling, if there is a vitamin B4? Oh oh I do! What
did I win? Well basically nothing but information (she said to herself
deeply disappointed but she will treat herself to something great
later!) B4 is a nutrient that you actually know by a different
name. The more common name for vitamin B4 is Choline. As we
make our journey through the B vitamins we now find our next
destination at B4 lovingly known as Choline.
Choline is one of those things most people don’t really think about,
but just like the other B vitamins it has a great importance in the
system. Let me share just a couple of things that Choline is great for
and then you can make up your own mind (pun to come later).
Choline is one of the things that your body needs to properly transmit
nerve impulses from the brain to the central nervous system AND its
great for gallbladder regulation, liver function, and something you
don't even know your body does, but lecithin formation. Choline
does a lot to aid in hormone production and minimizes excess fat in the
liver because it helps your body with cholesterol and fat metabolism (I
say metabolize all day long baby!) Because of Choline’s benefits to fat
metabolism choline has a definite place in helping with liver health,
cardiac health, high blood pressure, kidney dysfunction, can help with
stunted growth and homocysteine reduction.
Where oh where can you get B4? Guess what Egg Yolks!!! Yep those things
you thought you were supposed to throw away, yeah those things! Also
found in legumes, meat, and soybeans.
So there you have it. Take your B4 or you will wish you would have AFTER!
